It's Not JUST Photography

As a photographer, I get asked to be present to capture images and moments during some BIG life events. From Weddings, Bridal Showers, Family Reunions, Funerals and more!

Although for the most part I fade into the background snapping away taking my pictures, I often find myself being that right hand person when no one is able to help. That might actually be one of my favourite things about being being a photographer. I love helping a bride fix her veil, cue the entrance music once the guest of honour is ready to enter the venue and even be that person that’s just there when you need someone. It’s not just about the photography it’s about creating the best experience and being there to capture it.

Someone once asked me if being part of someones wedding day that I didn’t know was strange. I thought well that’s a weird question… But to be honest, I had never thought of it only because I treat my clients like friends/family! It means as much to me to have been asked to photograph something than the other way around. I’m even more honoured when someone I’ve photographed reaches out again for another session. It’s so much fun for me to catch up with everyone I’ve worked with year after year!

When choosing your photographer so many things come into question, the style of pictures, budget, reviews… but when you chose a photographer for a big moment in your life you need to take the time to meet them and make sure your the right fit for each other! It’s something we sometimes forget but it can make the world of difference during the entire experience!
