Small Wedding Photographer Tip and Capturing Style
When it comes to Wedding Photography... the number one thing it shouldn't be is something that feels like a chore on your wedding day! The last think I want as a photographer is for you to feel annoyed or stressed on your big day!
Wedding Photography is meant to be a way to document the joy, love and memories you're creating on your wedding day! What might work for one couple/family might not for the next. It's so important to voice your expectation and vision with your wedding pictures to your photographer BEFORE your wedding day.
The biggest tip I can give any couple in the process of hiring a wedding photographer, do you have MUST HAVE pictures? If you do, don't forget to tell your photographer before your wedding day to make sure they have it on their photography checklist! This will ensure it doesn't slip anyones mind on the day of and you can focus on enjoying the day. This can be a picture with 3 generations together or even a specific pose you want with your partner because you’d love it for the Thank You cards. Seriously, whatever it is, for me as a small wedding photographer in Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley, I would never be annoyed or bothered BUT happy you told me so we can make sure we don’t forget.
Every photographer has their own way to capture beautiful images that suit their style of photography. Personally, I love to have a more laid back fun approach to it. I like to crack some joke to get genuine smiles, capture emotional moments and of course keep it timeless/classic. The biggest compliment I have EVER have as a photographer is that I made the photography session so much fun! Another one I’ll alway remember was when a guest at a wedding I was photographing told us that she thought we were so efficient getting all the family formal pictures.
